Aquamid

What Does the Procedure Involve?
A mild anaesthetic cream is applied to the area to be treated and left on for around 30 minutes. The filler is then injected using a very fine needle into the skin beneath the wrinkle. For lips, a dental block can be used if you prefer. Results are visible immediately. The filler dissolves naturally over a period of months.
What are the Risks and Likely After-Effects?
The fillers we use are non-toxic, non-allergenic products, which do not contain any animal ingredients. They have all been used safely on thousands of patients over many years. Side effects are minimal, though you should expect a little discomfort whilst being injected, and you may experience some short term bruising and swelling afterwards. If you wear make-up you should avoid doing so until the day afterwards.
